The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held at leafy Marina Park overlooking the Tweed Heads River.

Guests can then enjoy the reception in the adjacent waterfront Ancora restaurant and deck.

The Schedule

Arrival - 3 PM

Join us at the leafy, tree-lined Marina Park overlooking the beautiful Tweed River

There are 30+ carparks available for guests next to the park and adjacent reception venue

Ceremony - 3:30 PM

Join us as we say our vows and officially get married!

Seating will be limited so we'll keep it quick and casual

Congratulations and Photos - 4 PM

We'd love to get a photo with you all and with individual groups and family

Cocktail Hour - 4:30 PM

We'll kick off the celebration with drinks and canapes in the park accompanied by live acoustic music

Reception - 5:30 PM

As the sun begins to set over the Tweed River we'll head into the adjacent Ancora Weddings venue

Grab a drink and your seat as we celebrate with good drinks, good food and good company

The Food

Canapes (Cocktail Hour)

During our cocktail hour kick off the celebration with a tasty selection of canapés, including fried chicken lollipops, spanakopita parcels, roast pumpkin arancini, grilled prawn skewers, and classic beef sliders. Fresh, flavorful, and perfect for mingling.

Mediterranean (Reception)

Enjoy a family-style shared Mediterranean feast, bursting with vibrant flavours and fresh, local ingredients. From artisanal starters to mains like slow-roasted lamb, crispy chicken, and more every dish is crafted to delight. Paired with sides like charred broccolini and crispy Greek potatoes, it’s a feast to remember.

Your presence at our wedding will be a gift, but if you want to give something else, there will be a wishing well available

Travel information

Nearest Airport

The nearest airport to the wedding is Gold Coast (OOL) which has regular flights from Jetstar, Qantas and Virgin from most Australian cities.

It is 4km by car to the wedding and the best ground transport option is ride sharing or taxi.

Nearby Accommodation

We recommend staying in the Coolangatta or Tweed Heads area. As a popular holiday destination, there are plenty of accommodation options including hotels, resorts and Air BNBs.

What is the dress code?

The dress code is smart casual. As anyone who knows Matt, it's a miracle he's not wearing thongs.

Can I bring kids or others?

Sorry, due to the limited space in the venue we've had to restrict numbers just to the invited guest list.

What will the weather be like?

Tweed Heads average highs of 22° and lows of 10° in August and the wedding and reception are riverside which may be breezy so dress to suit the weather.

Is there parking?

Yes, the venue and adjacent parks have 30+ carparks without time limits. There are adjacent streets with free parking within walking distance.

What if I have dietary requirements?

Please let us know when RSVPing and we'll let the venue know to prepare a specific meal. We have a range of food options also so you shouldn't go home hungry.

Will alcohol be served?

Yes, we'll have an open bar at the cocktail hour and reception.

Is transport provided?

Sorry, we had to fund the open bar somehow. Ride-sharing services like Uber and taxis do operate in the area.

What time does the reception end?

Due to noise restrictions at the venue we have to be finished by 11 PM but for those that want to kick on there are nearby venues open late
